She graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame (Magna Cum Lauda) in 2011. Following this, she undertook more than a decade of rigorous surgical training in Australia to attain fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She then travelled overseas to undertake the highly competitive Hand Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Hand Unit of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London.
Throughout her career, Dr Darveniza has been committed to further education & research. She completed a Graduate Diploma in Anatomy via dissection, prior to tutoring in anatomy & microsurgery for the University of Sydney Medical School. Dr Darveniza then went on to lecture in Plastic Surgery for the University of Melbourne and now holds a position as Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at The University of Notre Dame Sydney. She is also actively involved in training medical students & trainee surgeons in the public hospital system. Dr Darveniza continues to engage in research, having published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at both national & international conferences. Dr Darveniza has multiple appointments in both public & private hospitals. She has special interests in skin, reconstructive, hand & aesthetic surgery.
