I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at University of Technology in Sydney and then followed with practical experience in Hangzhou Red Cross Hospital China.
In further studies I extended my knowledge with Japanese acupuncture, and I have a particular interest in the Classical Period of Chinese Herbal Medicine. I have also studied shiatsu, cranio-sacral therapy and Tuina body work, and I utilise all of these modalities within my treatments.
As a practitioner I am most interested in depth of therapeutic process and therefore treat only one patient at a time for one hour appointments. This allows for a more holistic approach, the space and time for therapeutic unfolding, quality of communication and understanding.
This approach can be used to assist in the treatment of complex and chronic conditions where there are many overlaying factors at play. Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, psycho-emotional issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, hormonal issues such as infertility, menopausal symptoms, and menstrual cycle problems, and chronic digestive issues, auto immune and muscular/skeletal problems.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been in constant development for over two thousand years and offers a comprehensive, intelligent and safe paradigm of healthcare. It is gentle but effective and by utilising an extremely holistic view of the body it can offer insight that differs from Western or allopathic medicine.
