Dr. Abbas Haghshenas, a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural Remote Medicine (ACRRM), is a highly accomplished General Practitioner (GP) and Senior Lecturer at MQ University, with passion for medicine, mental health, research, and education has left a mark in both Australia and aboard.
Dr. Haghshenas has served numerous rural and remote towns across Australia as a family physician and mental health practitioner and continues to do so.
He has worked with the Australian College of Rural Remote Medicine as supervisor, educator, and examiner for GP registrars. His expertise has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of medical professionals, fostering their growth and development within the field of rural medicine.
Dr. Haghshenas' interests extends to child and family health, aged care, skin cancer including cryotherapy, minor skin procedures & biopsies, emergency care, mental health and chronic disease encompassing conditions like diabetes, asthma, and heart failure. As a seasoned practitioner, he leaves no stone unturned in ensuring the health and well-being of his patients.
Beyond his clinical and academic endeavours, Dr. Haghshenas is also a visionary entrepreneur. He is the proud founder and CEO of "ihealthDesk," an innovative startup with a mission to bridge the inequality gap in access to mental and emotional wellbeing services for migrants from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
