Dr. Anthony Shapiro graduated from Johannesburg University in 1986, and moved to Sydney with his family in 1995, taking over the Avalon Wholistic Medical & Dental Centre from Dr Brian Tracey.

He is committed to the idea of creating a friendly welcoming Centre which embodies a commitment to professional excellence.

Since he began practising dentistry, Dr. Shapiro has actively pursued his many interests in continuing education. To use a small example, he has studied implants, sports dentistry, oral health, as well as continually investigating new products and advances in dentistry, of which there are many!

In recent times Anthony has introduced the popular Cerec machine to the practice, enabling patients to have crowns made onsite and conveniently fitted on the same day.

His main concern is ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care, so that they can have the best treatment available, and make educated choices about their dental care.
