We can help you with all aspects of your health and look after the whole family. In fact, we often look after 3 (occasionally 4!) generations of the same family.
While we offer general medical consultations for all ages, our special interest lies in women’s and children’s health and chronic health problems. We use our understanding of physiology and genetics to address these issues. Some of our special interests are digestive disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, post viral fatigue syndromes, upper respiratory allergies, eczema, metabolic issues, menopause and hormonal problems.
First consultations tend to be long, to assess history, understand your past experiences, beliefs and preferences and discuss possible treatments. All appointments are booked in advance, although several times are kept free each day for emergency appointments for current patients.
This is an approach to medicine that combines nutrition, fitness and lifestyle as well as supplements and medication (if necessary) to address the root cause of illness, rather than focusing only on the symptoms. This is necessary when managing chronic health problems.
Many chronic diseases have their origin in the digestive system, where poor digestion, poor assimilation of nutrients, dysbiosis (imbalance of micro-organisms in the gut) and inflammation results in a multi-system disorder.
Sometimes a major contributor to health issues is a genetic predisposition that requires a very personalised approach to nutrition and supplementation.
These consultations take longer than general medicine appointments and require a pre booking of 40 to 60 minutes.
Sports nutrition is the often forgotten part of an athlete’s preparation. If it is not forgotten, information that is out there can be so confusing that many do not know where to start and how to separate science from fad.
Dr Jasmina has a special interest in sports medicine and nutrition. She was an elite alpine skier and in January 2020 won a gold at the World Winter Masters Games. She also has 3 sons who are junior tennis players, and this has inspired her particular interest in tennis nutrition.
Where there is sport there is also a need for injury prevention and recovery. Where required, Dr Jasmina uses personalised genetic testing to help optimise physiological function and aid these processes.
Whether you are a junior athlete, a weekend warrior or a masters athlete, a personalised nutrition and injury prevention plan will help you achieve your goals.
We use intravenous Vitamin C to assist in the recovery from viral infections. In particular, it can help reduce symptoms and pain associated with shingles. It is also used to assist recovery from glandular fever, post viral syndromes and chronic fatigue states.
The infusions are done in the comfort of our IV clinic while you are being looked after by our practice nurse, Caroline.
Most infusions take an hour, but we suggest that you take a day off work and rest at home once the infusion is completed.
Being diagnosed with cancer is a particularly vulnerable time. In our practice you will not be rushed, we will give you all the time and understanding you need.
Our integrative oncology consultations aim to assist cancer patients with “living well” and reducing side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Everything we do is with the permission of, and in consultation with, the patient's medical oncologist.
Dr Lorna has decades long experience with herbal medicines. She prepares personalised herbal preparations for her patients when appropriate, and when other approaches are not tolerated.
Dr Lorna draws upon the tradition of western herbal medicine and enjoys using “herbal tonics”, a concept that has been lost in modern medical treatment.
HeartMath is a powerful mind body program that can help alleviate the impact of stress on physical and emotional health.

With HeartMath we offer practical tools and techniques that enable patients to regulate their thoughts, emotions, habitual reactions and self-limiting behaviours.
With the use of bio-feedback technology to measure heart rate variability we can provide real-time, visible evidence of change so you know that what you are doing is benefiting you on a deep physiological level.
